CLONE #SIX EDITION
CHALK HILL CS

The Special Reserve series curates California’s most regarded wine growing regions and small lot artisan winemaking.

Vintage: 2022
Region: Chalk Hill, Sonoma

Tasting Notes:

Located in Sonoma County, along the northeast corner of the Russian River Valley, Chalk Hill is an ideal setting for Cabernet Sauvignon. The white soil, from where Chalk Hill gets its name, is a composite of volcanic ash and sand. This terroir allows for an extended hang time on the vine, producing a perfect ripeness that is completed by 26 months of barrel aging.

This Clone Six Cabernet boasts bold blackberry flavors, backed by subtle anise and herbaceous notes. Aged in two different types of brand new French oak, warm vanilla and sugar cookie nuances balance the bold structure and add a long, lush finish.
